HTC M8 Quick Unlock

HTC M8 is seen as the expected name of the follow up to the HTC One and consumers are surely looking forward to its launch in March. The new phone will boast a number of key features and tops among them are the processor, RAM, Operating system, and its WiFi capabilities. Here is a quick look at these features.

Processor and RAM

When the HTC One was released on the market it came fitted with a Snapdragon 600 processor that worked at 1.7GHz. Since then technology has moved forward some ways and as such the new device will come with an updated version of the processor. It has been speculated that the HTC M8 will have a Snapdragon 800 System on Chip processor. Benchmark tests have shown a clocking of 2.26 GHz for this quad core chip. RAM is expected to be 2 GB, the same as that on the HTC One and good enough to run Android.

For everyone who is in love with playing games on their Smartphone, the good news for you potentially, is that M8 is believed to be fitted with Qualcomm’s Adreno 330 GPU which is likely to greatly improve the handset’s graphical output.

Operating system

There should be no surprises here, by the time the M8 finally comes to market it should be packing the Android operating system under the hood. Expectations are that the latest version, the Android 4.4 KitKat will be what’s running the M8. The operating system will find itself wrapped in a thick layer of the HTC Sense software suite- Sense 6.0. It is hoped that the new version of Sense will now deviate far from Sense 5.5 that was enjoyed by many. Should HTC opt for an older Android system instead of KitKat for the HTC M8, it would be very surprising as its main competitors, including the Galaxy S5, will be running on KitKat. HTC would be well advised to follow suit.

Awesome Wi-Fi

The HTC One X+ was plagued with some serious Wi-Fi issues and the hope is that with the new M8 those issues would have been laid to rest. The M8’s Wi-Fi credentials are expected to be blazingly fast with the capability to switch between the 2.4 and 5GHz bands. It should also be able to support all the Wi-Fi standards including the latest 5G WiFi standard.

The expectations of the HTC M8 will hopefully be satisfied when it is released and chances are they will be met if not exceed.

Unlock Sony Xperia Z1S

Unlocking The Sony Xperia Z1S

The Sony Xperia Z1S is the newest Android-running Smartphone from the electronic giant and it should already be in store. The new phone is said to have a waterproof camera deemed to be the best in the marketplace today. The Xperia Z1S is the successor to the Xperia Z which was released in 2013. Sony continues its adventure into the Smartphone market and hopes to carve out a niche with phones that are water friendly. Here is a review of the new Sony Xperia Z1S.

Features, Hardware, and Software

The Z1S most impressive feature is that it boasts its ability to remain waterproof up to about 5 feet for close to 30 minutes at a time, and its dedicated camera button located on the on the side allows you to snap pictures underwater. To do this with the Xperia Z you would have to touch the screen which did not work well underwater.

There is a 20.7 Mp camera fitted on the Z1S and it works very well when the light is low. You can also activate a timeshift burst which means taking a number of photos very fast so that an action scene can be capture clearly, add to your photos some cool augmented reality background images, and create Instagram-like background blurs. There is a function called “social live” which allows you to stream video onto Facebook automatically, and tag your photos with the “info-eye” mode.

The operating system that runs the phone is Android, but not the newest version as it utilizes the 4.3 Jelly Bean. The phone’ processor is a fast quad-core, and as such you will be able to multi-task and still have every one of your apps moving fast and working smoothly. The Z1S’ battery life is a bit above average.

Design

Sony Xperia Z1S has a cool design even though accessing the SD card slot, charging port, and even the jack for the headphone is a challenge since there’s a tiny hatch you will have to use you your fingernails to pry open with. Apart from that, the display is sharp and bright and is a reasonable 5 inches in size, the screen is large enough to enjoy videos or to play complex games. At .34 inches thick, the Z1S is thin, and has a sleek yet stylish look with its black glass backing and silvery bevels. Currently the phone can only be had in black.

The new Xperia Z1S must be considered a solid Smartphone. Especially with its waterproof status and big screen that allows you to do simple tasks easily.

Unlock Samsung Galaxy S 5

Unlock Samsung Galaxy S 5

Unlock Samsung Galaxy S 5

We’re huge fans of what Samsung has been doing with their new smartphones. So when we learned that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is being released soon, we were excited to learn how much of an improvement on the S4 it will be. The latest news is that they will be going ahead with the 2K display. That means that the S5 will boast a Super AMOLED display that measures 5.25 inches diagonally.

Here’s some news for you ‘selfie olympics’ lovers too: the front camera will will pack 2 Megapixels meaning you can share your selfies in higher resolution than ever before. The regular camera will boast 20 Megapixels.

Amongst other specs improvements on the S4, it is speculated that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will boast head tracking features, iris scanning features, and a Snapdragon 805 processor all encapsulated in a premium metal body.

So should you ditch your Galaxy S4 and buy the Samsung Galaxy S5? Probably not; but if you’re looking to upgrade from any other smartphone out there then the S5 should be at the top of your list.

As always, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile will be bundling this highly anticipated phone. And as always, it will be SIM locked to their network; so if you’re looking to use the phone with other SIM cards or you want to take the phone overseas you will struggle. If you do travel overseas, using a pre-paid card at your destination can save you hundreds (if not thousands?) of dollars on data charges. For example, some pre-paid SIM cards in the United Kingdom offer three months of unlimited mobile data for around $20. Try calling any carrier in the States and ask how much you can roam with data for in Europe. Their prices and limitations will be shocking. Finding a way to unlock Galaxy S5 smartphones seems to be the smart thing to do if you travel with your phone.

If you want to unlock Galaxy S5 smartphones bundled with AT&T, the company usually requires you to have paid off your entire contract or paid off the entire cost of the phone. So getting an unlocked Galaxy S5 from AT&T will be difficult. If you wish to unlock Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphones bundled with T-Mobile then you must have made monthly payments for the last 18 months and had no more than 2 SIM unlock requests in the last 12 months. Sprint and Verizon have similar prohibitive policies on phone unlocking so you can’t expect much help from them either.

If your carrier refuses to provide a service to unlock Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphones then there are legitimate third-party services you can use to unlock the Galaxy S5. One such service is GSMUnlockLabs.com.

Don’t be a prisoner of your SIM card.

If you need to unlock your Galaxy S 5, always try the carrier first.  If  you’re unable to get a free unlock code from the carrier the Galaxy S 5 is locked to you can buy the same IMEI unlock code from either of the sources below:
