LG Escape 2 Unlock – The LG Escape 2 is a good phone if you are just starting out in the phone market and don’t want to spend the big bucks for a flagship phone. That being said, there are some things about the phone that aren’t as nice. It certainly won’t compare to an LG G3 or a Samsung Galaxy S5 with its smaller processer and only 1 gig of ram, but this doesn’t mean the Escape 2 is a bad phone.
The Escape 2 has a 4.1 inch curved display, so for users who want something that isn’t quite as large as some of the other smartphones on the market this will work great. The curved display makes for a unique viewing experience and it also fits quite well in the pocket. Another thing that is nice about the curved screen is durability. Because the screen is curved it seems to hold up better than other phones after being dropped.
The software on the Escape 2 is nothing to complain about and doesn’t lag too badly under most usage. The colors and graphics do look a little childish and you will miss out on some of the features that you would get on flagship phones but to some, money is more important than features. As far as money goes, the Escape 2 is likely to be far cheaper than any of the flagship phones and is definitely the cheapest curved display phone on the market.
The Escape 2’s camera is decent with 8 megapixels and a few nice features that help it take quality photos. The camera can lag from time to time but usually holds up well, it even takes good pictures in lowlight. However, one of the problems with the camera is its tendency to over-expose certain shots.
The worst, and sure to be the most annoying problem with the Escape 2 is its internal storage. With a total of 8 gigs of internal memory (only 3 gigs of useable memory) there is not a lot of room for pictures, video and apps. There is the ability to add up to 32 gigs in expandable storage but even that is not a lot for anyone who intends on taking lots of pictures or video. Also expandable storage is great but it isn’t as reliable as internal storage and you will have to purchase a 32 gig card separately.
As far as battery life goes the Escape 2 has a 2100 mAh battery that is good for 14 hours of talk time and 17 hours of standby time. This is fine, but under heavy use you will have to find a charger half way through the day which could be annoying to some. Anyone who plans on using the phone for simple stuff such as calls and texting should be able to make it through the day without any problems.
Overall the LG Escape 2 is a nice phone for people who aren’t looking to pay the outrageous prices of other cellphones on the market. As long as you are willing to live without lots of features and lots of internal storage you will enjoy the Escape 2.
